New online service to help manage debt
Families struggling to manage their debt can take advantage of a new free personal finance service.
The online application, Money Dashboard, has been launched to help people set realistic budgets and stick to them. It reduces the risk of missed payments or going into an overdraft facility.
As well as bringing bank accounts and credit card spending history together on one screen, Money Dashboard also keeps track of a family’s income and spending.
Email alerts can be set up to tell users if they have gone over budget or if they are about to slip into the red.
Gavin Littlejohn, Founder and CEO, said: “The Government has demonstrated in painful detail why it is important to keep track of spending and avoid getting into debt. Our aim is to take the fear and hassle out of managing money, focusing on helping young families and individuals to confidently manage their debt or create a path to better wealth.”
The site also recommends ways to save and in the future will be able to point out suspicious transactions.
It can be accessed from any online computer at www.moneydashboard.com.
